Les Ensigniers is a Liu Dit which is a village level with naming rights on the label. Was it performing on par or better than the best plots of Puligny? We had Boillot Pucelles and Colin Deleger's Demoseilles lineup against this Coche. A bit of a struggle for Coche, was behind the Pucelles but ahead of the Demoiseilles. A bit salty and slightly acidic in the nose. Palate wise it was almost like orange juice, orange peel, a bit bitter. So, don't pay big bucks for big names alone.
