2010 Madonna Nera Brunello di Montalcino
Coming from a great, stunning vintage of 2010 from Brunello di Montalcino, I do have some high expectations of the content. Made of 100% Sangiovese grapes, knowing my stemware, I chose to use Grassl Cru (big bowl glass suitable for burgundy wines), as its very well suited for Sangiovese grapes. Bouquet of toasted oak and roasted coffee bean. Content was smooth and very well integrated oak, rounded and very pleasant to drink, softness is the key here. I suspect it probably used the famed Gambelli (the well known winemaking style of Soldera) style to produce the wine, but I could not verify this statement.
