2011 Chateau La Conseillante Pomerol
LONG WAY TO MATURITY
Pomerol in 2011 was quite a disaster, most wines that I tasted did not have much body, or some other weaknesses. However there're a few labels in Pomerol you can trust in good time or bad, La Conseillante is one of them.
Nose of smoke, fruity but was the very cooked stewed fruit type of style. A sip, felt like a bit slightly cooked, but was within tolerance. The fruits are decent, wine was quite dry and tannins lurking around. Totally unready, you've got to wait at least a decade.
