2011 Faiveley Bourgogne Chardonnay
Light yellow with pale gold glimmers. Very pretty on the nose, opening up with vanilla and white flower scents (linden tree). Bold and balanced on the palate, full and round; the finish is long lasting with a slightly vanilla touch.
Village level white burgundy. Should not expect anything. Nose is relatively sharp, mingled with mineral, lemon & a bit oily. Like I said, lower your expectations, as the palette is relatively flat, relatively oily, typical of a low grade Chardonnay. Body lacks density nor flavor, palette is missing any sign of intensity.
