2011 Guy Bernard Les Meandres Côte Rotie
I normally don't quite like Rhone wines, but the restaurant waiter recommend this bottle so I gave it a try. He was spot on with his recommendation. I was expecting a huge chunky undrinkable wine, but exactly the opposite turned out pleasant, elegance and very easy to drink. It also was ahead of its vintage, I would have thought it was 10 years of age, never expected it to be a 2011. Good surprise.
