Many drinkers are still unaware that Cote Rotie produces one of the best wines in the world, not to mention a hidden gem of this Jamet Cote Rotie which is taking the world by the storm. A friend once served me a 99, decanted for 8 hours and the wine is still big and tannic!
This 2011 obviously is not ready to drink. Nose is quite green and raw, although the palate is surprisingly pleasant with a lot of grip still. If you don’t mind the tannins, it’s quite enjoyable right now.
