2011 Viña Almaviva
Not a bad effort for a Chilean wine. Nose is big, already giving it away as a new world wine, plus it's chokes on the nose (probably due to big alcohol), gets a lot of dark fruits and charred wood. The palette was not what the nose has reflected as I was expecting a big rugged wine, but it turned out to be pleasant, approachable, friendly. Loads of fruits on the foreground while tannins are masking behind these fruits. Kudos to the good effort here.
