2012 Haut Bailly Pessac Leognan
GOOD EFFORT Not many Haut Bailly impressed me in the past, the only exceptional vintage I ever had was 2005, other than 05, my mind was almost a blank for this label. For 2012, WA gave a 96, perhaps a bit over rated, but my score wasn't too far behind. Very muted nose mingled with coffee, espresso and almond nuts. Very good fruits on entry, forward, with a sense of aristocracy and richness. Good effort from an average 2012 vintage.
