This term means old vines, although there's no definition of how old the vines have to be in order to qualify for VV. In general, 30 100+ years is not uncommon for VV bottles.
In general, VV wines normally have got great structures, depth or density, or all these characters.
Served blind, this has loads of cherries on the nose, albeit a bit cold, mineral and steely. Palate is rich, very ripe, very mineral and a nice forward wine surprisingly ready to drink.
