2013 Chateau du Tertre Margaux
BORDEAUX 2013 WRITE OFF #5
In my 20 years of tasting Bordeaux wines, I have never come across a vintage as bad as 2013. This vintage apparently lacked tannins and structure to last a decade, not to mention that there's no way it can survive for multiple vintages.
However for Margaux appellation it didn't do too badly. I personally never enjoyed Du Tertre once, always too light. Extremely muted nose, evolved into slight smoke and woody. Palate was expected soft & light, red fruits although decent body.

BORDEAUX MARGAUX 2012 REPORT
Amongst the left bank, I will prefer the Margaux appellation over Saint Julien, Pauillac and Graves (didn't taste enough St Estephe). The stars are surprisingly:
1. Giscours
2. Lascombes
As expected, Du Tertre has never made any powerful wine in the past. Always a very light style, very aromatic nose. Body is extremely light, very forward and an obvious lack of structure on the palette disappointed me.
