2013 Donnhoff Riesling Hollenpfad Trocken
DONNHOFF
My first Donnhoff Riesling, and I was not really impressed. Perhaps it was a poor vintage to boot, as my impression of 2013 Alsace wines wasn't too good, and I confirmed it with my tasting.
Loads of tropical fruits on the nose; lychee, strong pineapple and even petroleum from South China Sea! Pun intended!
I didn't like the content; too sour, too lemonade, albeit easy drinking wine. Not qualified for my list of favorites. Sorry.
