2013 Franciscan Napa Valley Merlot

SIMPLE NAPA 简单的纳伯酒
Was on an American cruise ship, so obviously they promote their own American wines heavily. So I gave this Napa Merlot wine a try, found it to be quite heavily oaked with rough oak. Very ripe and rounded fruits on the palate, easy to drink but obviously something really simple with no sophistication.
坐了一艘美国的邮轮，可以想象他们推荐的酒大多数都是美国酒（价格公道，法国酒的价格却高不可攀），在缺乏选择之下只好委曲求全的点了一瓶这个方济会庄园的梅洛酒。香味非常浓厚的橡木桶味，而且不是优秀的橡木桶，比较粗燥。虽然口感很圆滑和成熟，但是相对简单，完全缺乏层次感和复杂的味道。
