Masi winemaker told me they’re trying to reproduce clone Amarone in Argentina, that got me wanting to try it out.
Although the nose was decent with slightly clinical style, the body was lagging far behind Amarone standard. Even though it was friendly, fruity, but the content was totally lacking, feeling hollow and extremely tannic. Still many years of experimentation to make it perfect.
