The second wine of the reported Nittardi wine that is presented to the pope each year. Ad Astra comes from the Latin phrase a rough road leads to the stars, which rings true for a year hard work of harvest to wine making to create a great wine!
This organic wine was fruitier than I thought, had some really bland ones before which I didn’t enjoy. Nose was filled with cherries, complemented by spice and hints of leather. Palate was pretty rounded with red fruits, spice and velvety tannins.
