2013 Turley Zinfandel Pesenti Vineyard
FIRST ZINFANDEL RED...
After a generous sommelier serving me 3 glasses of Zinfandel red to decide what I want to drink tonight, I zoomed in to this bottle. I'm not exposed to American Zinfandel at all, my first impression was quite Syrah equivalent, the type of dark inky cassis fruits on the nose made me think of Rhones. Even the palette felt Rhone, this has a lot of complexity, although the finishing was tannic and very short.
