2014 Auguste Clape Cornas Renaissance
Don’t jump to conclusion on my subject line, I don’t mean to give up this wine easily! Being an entry level cuvee for Auguste Clape, Renaissance is certainly well made in a classic way. Bouquet of very Northern Rhone style; meaty, blackcurrant, bloody. Palette was easily forgettable, for it’s drinking very smoothly it just rush down your throat without you thinking too much about it. I can’t really find fault with such an easy drinking and smooth wine, it was too pleasant to have second thoughts over it.
