2014 Chateau Picard Saint Estephe
DECENT CRU BOURGEOIS
One of the better Mahler Beze staples, at least this one deserved to be a specific Saint Estephe appellation Cru Bourgeois as I deemed the quality decent.
Smoky nose with relatively ripe fruits. Palate was smooth and easy drinking, with relatively high acidity. It’s hard to believe this came from 2014, a bit too ripe and forward, probably can last at best a decade with not much aging capability. You can drink up or keep for a couple of years.
