2014 Coche Dury Bourgogne Aligote
UNDERPERFORMING BIG NAME
I was running high on expectations for a Coche Dury, as my past experience on Bourgogne level was impressive, but that was Chardonnay grapes. Aligote grape is simply different and relatively rare in burgundy.
Nose was fresh to start, turned slightly buttery thereafter. First palate observation was crisp and fresh, plus very high in acidity. Typical character of Aligote. But I was expecting more from Coche Dury, as their village level normally was impressive.
