2014 Fleur Cardinale St Emilion Grand Cru Classe
DOWNSIDE
A downside of walkabout tastings from the consumer POV is that wine is poured directly from the bottle and not enough time, must keep moving to other wine stations w/o being able to appreciate a wine's evolution.
For the 2014, I got a pour from the very first bottle they just opened. Most of what I could smell was alcohol and spice. The fruits were still too muted to come out. The palate though was strong with tannins, alcohol but also get hints of ripe black cherries. Too bad no time to go back!
