2014 Giesen The Brothers Chardonnay
ATYPICAL KIWI BLANC
When you hear Marlborough, your first thought would go straight to Sauvignon Blanc as that is what they are known for. So i was definitely surprised to see a bottle of Chardonnay coming from this region.
The first nose smelled of buttery goodness and honey, and thought it too sweet for my taste. But after some time in the glass, it started showing hints of tropical fruits which made me think of the beach. The palate was full and creamy with hints of oak but showed nothing interesting.
