2014 Jean Rene Germanier Cayas Switzerland
This was another very decent quality Swiss wine, made of 100% Syrah and priced reasonably at around GBP 40. Nose of slight barnyard. Content was with long finishing and very peppery, what’s disturbing me a little bit was a relatively strong greenness in the body, however, the complexity more than made up for it. Still young and tannic, will benefit from another decade of aging.
