ATYPICAL GRAPES
Syrah is definitely not a native grape varieties in Portugal, I was surprised to see a 100% Syrah wine from Portugal. This wine was aged in 50% American oak and 50% French oak for 12 months, further adding to the uniqueness of the wine!
As expected, it was smoky berries on the bouquet. The result of the content was huge wine, extremely fruity, in fact all the fruits were masked by the excessive tannins. Will definitely take time to resolve these tannins!
