2014 Vale Aldeia Douro Xaino Selection Tinto
NO STORYTELLING
I'm not having a story to tell for this label, as it was pretty straightforward. Nose of strong medicinal character with slight green and raw character, along with charred oaks and sweet chocolate.
Palate was pleasant although the tannins were quite elevated. Saving grace was that it was soft, rich and creamy, and almost prune like. Didn't expect so much to tell about the content of the wine itself!
