Tasted some sample Rhone Valley wines that were sent to us. First sniff and all I could smell was jam. It was too one dimensional that it made me doubt this was even a CDP. Palate was straightforward and too jammy w/ tannins not giving a lot of structure.
This is Demeter approved and also made with organic grapes. Maybe it played a factor in the different taste and characteristic from the usual CDPs Ive tried. In the end, I called it a breakfast wine in exchange for a bowl of fruits & jam
