2015 French Cellars Merlot
WOOD CHIPS?
Bought a bottle from a convenience store for not having a chance to access my own cellar, just to add a bit of flavor to my plain dinner. Costs less than S$10 for such 375ml bottle, perhaps the cheapest wine you can find in Singapore.
Really tasted with funny wooden taste, of which I immediately suspect it wouldn't be oak barrel, thus I suspected that they used wood chips to soak the wines and extract some oak flavor to make the wine more pleasant. Pathetic taste.
