2015 La Grangere Saint Emilion Grand Cru
FRUITY BUT HOLLOW
My first few bottles of Bordeaux 2015 wines, still trying to formulate a concrete idea what’s working best for 2015. I’ve been following this Grand Cru for a couple of years, not great but not bad either.
Nose was extremely fruity, containing some strange tar and concrete smell. Very sweet palate, medium length, fruity but not on the extreme scale, fruits were elegant, loads of tannins in the background, a bit thin and hollow, faded quickly after midway.
