2015 Moulin de la Grangère St Emilion Grand Cru

LOVELY 2015
Pretty much my first encounter of Bordeaux 2015, from a producer that I’m very familiar with, thus I can formulate a good idea of what it is like for 2015.
First impression was great fruit in the body, very soft, very clean, very flavorful. Although it wasn’t as structural as 2010, and the tannin levels were not very high, but the forward and fruity character really shined. It may not be a vintage to last 50 years, but it definitely can age for a couple of decades. No fear of buying!

TREASURE HUNT
Back in the vintage 2010, I blind tasted this bottle and was impressed with it. Subsequently we submitted the bottle for competition and it was awarded the top 100 wines in Singapore. This time round in an 8 bottle blind tasting, this turned out to be my #1, winner in the brewing for sure.
I loved the thick blueberry fruits, at 30 min mark it turned slight coffee. Palate was lush, very integrated and melted tannins, good fruits, pleasant and pleasing. For sure it’ll be a gem.
