2016 Mud House Sauvignon Blanc
TWIN CHARACTERS
I had this for lunch, took a whiff and I was certain it was Sauvignon Blanc as the fresh grass smell was prominent. Took a sip and I was puzzled, as it tasted too round to be Sauvignon Blanc, more like a Chardonnay style with ripeness and roundness, quite different from the usual sharpness of Sauvignon Blanc. Despite the confusion, it was certainly not a bad wine to drink for a casual moment. I must confess Marlborough wine qualities have improved leaps and bounds.
