2017 Jean Marc Pillot Chassagne Montrachet Les Caillerets
Jean Marc Pillot is one of the better producer for this premiere cru plot Les Caillerets, I have been following this producer since their 2016 vintage, and its an impressive effort, producing almost similar style of wines regardless of vintage. To me, 2017 seemed to bless Chassagne Montrachet more. I really enjoyed this 2017 vintage, the fruits were stunningly soft, tending towards the feminine style, with great richness and intensity of fruits, although with very decent acidity as the backbone. If you prefer fruity style white burgundies, then I will not hesitate to recommend this wine to you.
