2018 Aegerter Beaune Premier Cru Les Reversees Blanc

Coming from Cote de Beaune, Les Reversees is one of 42 climats classified as premier cru. The wine is aged in 10% new oak barrels for almost 12 months. A whiff and one can tell it’s either oaked substantially or it’s aged in lees, as the dimensional fruits is prominent, along with almonds, dried fruits and white flowers. Content wise, it’s quite a deviation from Cote de Nuits style; my frank opinion is that it’s a bit fat and bold, with very expressive taste, wish it has a bit more finesse.
