2018 Andre Clouet Dream Vintage, Bouzy, Champagne

Andre Clouet Dream Vintage is always our favorite champagne at Fine Wines, especially on a good vintage like 2018. It’s been widely recognized that 2018 is a great champagne vintage, the weather of sunny, hot and dry created a very conducive environment for Chardonnay that is being used to create the Dream Vintage 2018 from Bouzy. Upon my first pour, I realized the foam and bubble is abundant, truly a great treat to start off with. A sip and I’m happy with the content, with predominantly ripe apples and ripe lemon, the blessing of the weather in 2018. The sparkling has great balance, though still young given it’s age as I can almost feel the skin of Chardonnay. I was at the launch of Dom Perignon 2015 a few days ago, if I was given a choice, I would have opted for Andre Clouet Dream Vintage 2018 as my choice, although I would love to drink them side by side blind to have a fair fight.
