2018 Jean Dauvissat Chablis

We brought in this great producer based upon some samples they sent over a couple of months ago. We tasted 4 bottles of their samples along with a ringer from Chablis. The result was stunning, the well known Chablis ringer turned out to be ranking last in every aspect, it’s a total shame and pity for this ringer. The grape came from their own plots of 40 parcels in 7 different communes. Amazing for a village level wine to go through malolactic fermentation, and went through a long maturation on fine lees. The wine texture may lack finesse of a premier cru but the result was quite stunning, relatively complex fruity flavor with very decent acidity.
