2018 Palazzo Maffei Soave D.O.C. Veneto

In Italy, the most well known grape varietal is either Pinot Grigio or Soave. Soave is arguably the most famous white wine DOC in Italy. Palazzo Maffei produced this Soave from the northeastern Italy in the Veneto. The bouquet was a blend of buttery Chardonnay and the sharp and attacking Sauvignon Blanc, so if I was blinded with this bottle, I would have thought this as a blend of the two grape varietals. Palette was almost the same as the bouquet, with a taste of two characters of Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc. It was a tad too simple a wine, but very easy to drink and in fact the length of the wine was very decent.
