2018 Tenuta Tignanello Marchese Antinori, Chianti Classico, Riserva
Composed of mostly Sangiovese grapes along with Cabernet Sauvignon and slight amount of other complementary grapes, the grapes came from Tenuta Tignanello vineyards itself. Bouquet is affirmative cherry along with a hint of raspberry as well as berries and plums, very ripe and forward. Content wise, it’s a very smooth and silky wine, lively and easy going. A very simple and straight forward wine that’s hugely different from it’s big brother Tignanello. I wish there are more complexity and tannins in this wine, thus it’s obvious the wine is made for early consumption and not a wine that you can age.
