2018 Verget Terrior de V Poilly Fuisse
I was relatively disappointed with the 2017 version, but this 2018 reincarnated my faith with Terrior de V, perhaps the vintage and the terrior was in play. Bouquet was smoky and relatively acidic, and very balanced and addictive to smell, giving me an impression that the body would be with good acidity. However, bouquet was usually not an implication of content; thick and lush fruits dominated the content, almost very ripe pear alike style, with decent acidity supporting the body in the background. Certainly went well with some casual seafood dishes.
