Normally the producer of a grower champagne also owns the land where the champagne is produced, thus the champagne is very terroir sensitive, as well as the vintage. Thus it's difficult to make a consistent year in, year out champagne.
Overloaded pear nose, mainly fresh pear nose. I enjoyed the softness of the palate, mellow and fruity. However another bottle that tasted like leaking gas champagne, either it wasn't infused with enough gas or bad storage.
