NV Guy Charlemagne Mesnillesime Brut Grand Cru
GROWER CHAMPAGNE 1
Normally the producer of a grower champagne also owns the land where the champagne is produced, thus the champagne is very terroir sensitive, as well as the vintage. Thus it's difficult to make a consistent year in, year out champagne.
Slightly yeasty and slightly aged on the nose. The maker tried to make it more fruity and a bit bubbly, however the champagne was still unexciting, thus I was not persuaded with the gimmicks of Fruity and bubbly which always employed to mask weakness.
