NV Jacques Selosse Brut Initial Blanc de Blancs Grand Cru
This was served blind to me. From the nose I detected a lot of bottle age, lots of tobacco, tobacco leaves, heavy on yeast. Same on the palette with lots of bottle age but palette was fresh. So I thought it had a lot of bottle age coming from a good vintage, probably 85 or 88, tendency towards 88. But was really surprised to find that it was an NV champagne! Well made I must confess, fruits are a lot more intense when they've got age on them. Good value.
