NV Jacquesson & Fils Cuvee No 743 Extra Brut
A welcome drink from the generous La Dame du Pic when I was having lunch there, I normally don’t expect restaurants to be so generous to serve a Jacquesson champagne, so I must credit them for being generous. A whiff and I was surprised with the smoky hazelnut toast with some ripe apple. A sip and I could tell it’s probably a zero dosage champagne, as this glass of bubble is very crisp and tart with almost no sugar, nice citrus and good balance of acidity. Quite enjoyable for a starter.
