GREEN APPLE CHAMPAGNE ..
This is a grower champagne house, which obviously lacks experience in making good champagne. It was trying to put too much bubble in the champagne to mask it's weakness, which is showing loads of green apple palette, even though the blend is a 60% pinot noir and 40% chardonnay. I think his grape picking for chardonnay was not ripe enough, which resulted in the obvious lack of fruits and flavor in the champagne. Plus a blend of 2009/2010 grapes is challenging.
