The Macallan Amber Single Malt
SHERRY OAK
This single malt whisky was aged in 100% sherry oak casks, starting to become my favorite casks.
Far from my whisky glass I was able to smell an orange skin, almost like Grand Marnier, although it turned more oaky and buttery thereafter. Palate was also very orange driven. Light and lively, I really feel like adding orange juice to it like Campari liquor. Don’t expect much complexity although very drinkable and friendly whisky.
