WSG Food Safety Level 1 (SkillsFuture)
Singapore's Premier Food & Beverage Academy Secure Your Kitchen, Safeguard Your Business – Achieve Food Safety Excellence Today!
THERE MAY BE HIDDEN DANGERS IN YOUR FOOD BUSINESS: ARE YOU AT RISK?
Every restaurant, kitchen, F&B, food processing establishment, no matter how well-run, hides potential risks. Cross-contamination, improper storage, and poor hygiene practices can lead to severe consequences: foodborne illnesses, hefty fines, closures, and damage to your reputation.
These risks aren’t just theoretical—they’re a daily reality. Are you confident that your food processing area meets Singapore’s stringent food safety standards?
Your kitchen could be a ticking time bomb.
Microorganisms are invisible to the naked eye and can contaminate surfaces and food within just
10 minutes. If ignored, their rapid spread can unleash devastating consequences for your business and customers:
Foodborne Illnesses:
Harmful bacteria like Salmonella, E. coli, and Listeria can cause severe food poisoning.
Reputational Damage:
Customer trust erodes when your establishment is linked to food safety issues.
Customer Harm:
Compromised food safety endangers the health of your customers, potentially leading to hospitalization or worse.
WHY FOOD SAFETY MATTERS MORE THAN EVER...
In Singapore, it is mandatory for all staff in F&B establishments to possess the WSQ Food Safety Level 1 certificate before deployment. Failure to comply can result in hefty fines, suspension of operations, or both. Under the SAFE framework, food safety compliance is no longer optional.
As part of Singapore's food safety regulation by Singapore Food Agency (SFA), every food handler in non-retail establishments must be certified. Neglecting this requirement puts your business at risk of penalties—and your customers at risk of harm. Stay ahead of the curve and build a team you can trust.
Singapore’s Food Agency doesn’t take violations lightly:
$600 Fine Per Person: Each case of food poisoning linked to your business comes with a hefty financial penalty.
6 Demerit Points: Accumulating these puts your business on the agency’s radar. 12 Demerit Points: Leads to a 2-week suspension of your operations—crippling your revenue and reputation.
Another 12 Points in 12 Months: You’ll face a 1-month suspension, doubling your losses.
Final 12 Points: Your license will be revoked for life. No second chances.
THESE PENALTIES DRAIN YOUR FINANCES AND THREATEN YOUR BUSINESS’S FUTURE.
ENSURE YOUR TEAM IS TRAINED AND COMPLIANT TODAY!

ABOUT SINGAPORE FOOD AGENCY
The Singapore Food Agency (SFA) is the national authority responsible for ensuring a safe and secure food supply for Singapore. Established in April 2019, SFA operates under the Ministry of Sustainability and the Environment and plays a crucial role in regulating food safety and security across the entire food chain—from farm to fork. For F&B businesses, compliance with SFA’s food safety regulations is not optional—it’s mandatory. The agency sets the framework for licensing, food handling, and hygiene standards, ensuring that establishments operate responsibly and deliver safe food to consumers. Non-compliance can result in severe penalties, including fines, suspension, and even revocation of licenses. By staying aligned with SFA’s regulations and initiatives, businesses can safeguard their reputation, protect customers, and contribute to Singapore’s robust food safety ecosystem.
