Wine by Bok - 9.25/10 stars
Bok opened this bottle during his Chinese New Year reunion dinner to celebrate the Year of the Snake, and it did not disappoint. The wine immediately impressed with its steady and alluring bouquet, showcasing aromas of ripe blueberries, blackcurrants, and a touch of cigar. On the palate, it revealed a full-bodied character with a lively, chunky texture that kept evolving with every sip. After 2 hours of decanting, the wine blossomed beautifully, holding up strongly over the course of 4 hours—a true testament to its structure and longevity.
What stood out most was its aging potential. Even after more than three decades, the wine remains vibrant and robust, with the promise of aging gracefully for another 20 years. Bok humbly rated it 9.25/10 but admitted it was tempting to push it to 9.5. At $280, this wine is an incredible find for both celebration and long-term enjoyment. (01/25)
