Wine With Bok - 9.75/10 Stars
ALMOST PERFECT Given that Pucelles was a premier cru, coming from a great producer Leflaive, plus being produced in a superb vintage, it was almost a perfect white. Despite the super strong gunpowder nose at the start, perhaps implying no one should challenge her, the content was superbly intense, fresh, flavorful and great length. It tasted better than the Marquis de Laguiche 08! (10/2018)
Vinous - 95 Points
The opening flight of Puligny-Montrachet Les Pucelles from Domaine Leflaive was utterly staggering. The 2002 was seamless, ripe, opulent and intricately woven, with a kaleidoscopic, vivid expression of fruit that was breathtaking. (3/2010)
Robert Parker's Wine Advocate - 95 Points
A fully mature but still attractively fresh and beautifully layered nose features notes of honeysuckle, pear, white peach and white flowers that are trimmed in just enough wood to notice. There is really lovely richness, weight and volume to the almost creamy middle weight flavors that possess superb length on the impeccably well-balanced finale. This has definitely arrived at its peak though it should have no trouble holding there for another decade. Note that two bottles were opened and one of them displayed noticeable premature oxidation characters. (7/2016)
