2011 Henri Boillot Puligny Montrachet 1er Clos de la Mouchere Monopole (Single Wooden Box) - 3000ml
Wine With Bok - 9.75/10 Stars
Les Perrieres was a large and quality plot in Puligny Montrachet, thus a worth while exploration. Obviously Clos de la Mouchere, a Monopole plot within Perrieres highly deserved the #1 position in this our blind tasting battle with other Perrieres wines. It’s certainly much more disciplined, didn’t show it’s charm till 30mins later. I was aptly fooled initially, but did notice the evolution. (5/2017)
Allen Meadows Burghound - 94 Points
A very mild hint of reduction reduces the expressiveness of the otherwise cool and pure floral, citrus rind, stone and soft spice notes. There is plenty of volume to the rich, intense and mouth coating middle weight flavors that exude a fine minerality on the gorgeously complex, strikingly well-delineated and bone dry finish. This saline-infused and clearly built-to-age effort is spectacular. *Don't miss! Outstanding* (9/2013)
Vinous - 94 Points
The Puligny-Montrachet Clos de la Mouchère remains energetic, vibrant and utterly impeccable. Lemon oil, hazelnut and spice notes emerge in a Burgundy full of 2011 softness and generosity. This is a great showing from a wine that is likely to enjoy a long and broad drinking window. (9/2013)
