Chateau Mont-Redon has been in the Abeille and Fabre families for four generations. The families are the largest landowner in Chateauneuf-du-Pape, owning around 100 hectares of the most perfectly-sited vineyards. We at Fine Wines Pte Ltd is proud to represent Mont-Redon in Singapore. I was on the rush to drink the wine, thus I didn’t have much time to decant the wine, perhaps only 15 mins. Bouquet of dark plum, dark cherries, as well as earthy soil notes. Content is like an honest person, very down to earth style, honest with no make-up, primarily very black cherries and earthy notes from first to last glass. Surprisingly, the wine is composed of 15.5% alcohol but one cannot feel it much as it was totally masked behind the big fruits. (07/24)

Enchanting and complex nose of red fruit, tobacco leaf, licorice and delicate spices. Super-sensual palate that’s rich and refined, with so many nuances that you could spend hours studying it. Stunning interplay of ripe fruit with raw-meat and smoked-bacon character. Very long, silky finish that makes it hard not to take another gulp. Sustainable.
