2020 Duclaux Cote Rotie La Chana - 750ml
Decanter - 93 points
Ripe with lots of upfront, juicy berry fruit. Silky, flowing, fulsome but not heavy, with fine tannins. The acidity is fairly low, but this nonetheless has a good sense of balance and finesse with a tapered finish. A shapely, contoured wine, the grapes are grown on gneiss soils and the vines are 30 years old. 20% whole bunch, 20 months in barriques and 20% new oak. (09/2021)

The 2020 Cote Rotie La Germine—assembled from various barrels—offers up a harmonious blend of red raspberries and black olives on the nose. Medium to full-bodied, it's silky textured and long, with just a hint of dark chocolate on the lingering finish. It nicely captures the brothers' preference for soft, elegant wines. (01/2022)
