The François Côte-Rôtie is crafted from fruit grown in steep, mineral-rich vineyards characterized by mica-schist soils. This wine is predominantly Syrah with a blend of about 2-3% Viognier. In the glass, it presents a deep purple hue, releasing an abundance of dark red and black berry aromas, complemented by notes of violets and olive tapenade. On the palate, it offers medium-bodied flavors of black raspberry, blackberry, and blueberry, accented with a hint of dried herbs. This well-structured yet elegant wine boasts ferrous minerality, balanced acidity, and an ultra-long finish.
