Wine With Bok - 9.25/10 Stars
This wine comes from the foothill of Meursault, with grapes sourced from a Lieu-Dit Les Forges. Pay attention to the details of the winemaking, for example, the oak barrels they use to age the wines. They use the supplier Francois Freres, who produces oak barrels for the famed DRC, the wine is aged in oak barrels for 12 months, of which 25% of it is from new oak barrels. With direct advices from Charles Van Canneyt who helms the fame Domaine Hudelot-Noellat, Arnaud Baillot is blessed with good materials and advisors, thus it’s really difficult for their wines not to shine. This Meursault village level wine takes me by surprise, it is a stunning wine. The intensity and brightness of the fruit is first class, the wine has incredible tension and precision, alongside the buttery style of Meursault, this can easily be one of the best village level Meursault you can find at this price.
