Volnay is located in the Cote de Beaune region of Burgundy, known to produce most feminine of Bourgogne wines. The grapes are sourced from two vineyards, one being Les Serpens which is classified as Lieux-Dits, while the rest comes from En Vault. The contribution is about 50% from each parcel, the result is stunning. Bouquet is with very deep seducing ripe cherries with the aromas giving me a very structural feel. I truly enjoy the content, as the ripeness took me by surprise, as not many Volnay wines are done in such manner, the finish is long and mineral, with great power. It’s probably one of the most beautiful Volnay I have ever tried. Highly recommended!
